## About the IPPT

The Individual Physical Proficiency Test \(IPPT\) is a standard fitness assessment utilized by the Singapore Armed Forces \(SAF\), Singapore Police Force \(SPF\), and Singapore Civil Defence Force \(SCDF\) to evaluate the physical readiness of their personnel.

###  1 Push-ups 

Performed in 1 minute. Measures upper body strength and muscular endurance. Requires proper form \(chest lowering to fist-distance from ground\).

###  2 Sit-ups 

Performed in 1 minute. Measures abdominal core strength and muscular endurance. Requires crossing arms and touching elbows to knees.

###  3 2.4km Run 

Measures cardiovascular fitness and stamina. Represents the largest portion of the maximum possible points \(50 out of 100 points\).

### Awards and Incentives \(NSmen\)

  * **Gold \(≥ 85 points\):** $500 incentive \(Commando/Diver/Guards require ≥ 90 points\)
  * **Silver \(≥ 75 points\):** $300 incentive
  * **Pass with Incentive \(≥ 61 points\):** $200 incentive
  * **Pass \(≥ 51 points\):** Baseline requirement met
